BREAKING: FG Commences Shortlisting Of Successful Applicants For Nigerian Jubilee Fellows Programme



•Fellows to be paid a monthly stipend of N100,000 

The Federal Government has commenced shortlisting of successful applicants for the Nigerian Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP).

Confirming this development, one of the successful applicants who shared the good news with 9japarrot Media, said the good news was officially sent via email in an address early hours of today.

According to the applicant who is now a confirmed Fellow of the Programme, the email sent reads;

Dear Fellow,

Congratulations are in order!

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Program received over 150,000 applications in the past year, and we are delighted to announce that you have been selected to be a Fellow. All your hard work has paid off, and you should pat yourself on the back.

As part of the next steps, you are required to agree to a set of NJFP guidelines and principles which outlines the broad common line of actions that will guide the implementation of this program. Kindly access and accept the guidelines by following the instructions below, before 23-09-2022.

Recall that, The federal government earlier opened the application portal for the Nigerian Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) to help 20,000 graduates with the post-COVID-19 job search.

The process ran from September 6 to October 20, 2021.

It is a youth empowerment partnership initiative between the federal government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).


It was launched due to rising unemployment in the country as well as the COVID-19 pandemic which has negatively impacted Nigerian youths in the ability to get a suitable jobs.

The program aims to equip Nigerian graduates with practical knowledge and relevant skills for 12 months, with or without job experience, thereby connecting them with local job opportunities.

The sectors include information and communications technology, financial services, trade, manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing, mining, telecommunications, creative industries and technology, education, health, research, and development.

The program will create three options for applicants upon completion of the fellowship, including relationships with respective host organizations, entrepreneurship opportunities, and a platform to compete and access future jobs and employment opportunities.

Part of the guidelines stated in the offer letter as confirmed to 9japarrot Media is that a monthly stipend of N100,000 will be paid to the fellow as stated in the agreement.

And the fellow is to be matched with the host organization based in their state of residence.

The program will run for one year.

The fellow is entitled to leave, and sick leave holidays, among others.

Similarly, Fellows is expected to stick to the standard working hours of 9 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
