Seyi Tinubu : A Humble Giant

On Tuesday, June 22, 2023, there was an intriguing Inauguration Reception organized by a newly inaugurated Member of the 10th Green Chamber, Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya representing Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency. It was an event that played host to corps d'elites from the heart of the nation, Abuja, and the Ilorin Emirate. 

In an event like this, a keen observant would have a pool of takeaways and of course, my hook was bequeathed a rare privilege to catch a big fish. Imagine meeting for the first time your agelong role model and inspiring gem? The ecstasy that'll cream your face would know no limit. The feeling of being fulfilled to have finally crossed paths with your admired personality comes to bear. 

It's the exact way I felt the last time I met with the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, Seyi Tinubu, the vibrant chap everyone calls ST. It becomes hard to let such a noteworthy day go without reflecting on it. 

Meeting an intelligent, capable, fearless, innovative, and humble young mind. Taking gentle walks around to salute dignitaries. Paying recognition to those who deserved it. 

By any parameters you may introduce, Seyi Tinubu is a household name in the Nigerian business industry. He is a humble giant and promising youth who has risen through many ranks to achieve great success. The calm-looking dude has defied all odds to become one of the country's top business moguls through his outdoor advertising company. 

It is a separate story to be born into a family of achievers and still rises tall to become an achiever. The father to Seyi is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a foremost political light in the country. A political don and serial kingmaker. While the renowned Jagaban Borgu has a familiar connection to politics and governance, the humble giant Seyi is seen as determined to tow a different course for himself. In the current dispensation, Seyi Tinubu is an achiever. An evident force to reckon with in his academic and personal life. 

On several occasions, I have read about Seyi Tinubu supporting various initiatives designed at creating significant change in human society, this is not limited to providing youth empowerment, access to hygienic water, and education support programs. Seyi Tinubu rising star has a direct link to the power of being resilient, determined, grit, and humble. Either here or there, you need no interpreter to understand his compassion and humility. 

In the real sense of it, ST's inspiring story should be emulated by young minds everywhere. A true inspiration of what a supportive son must do is reflected in full fledge on how he take the bull by its horn in the election that produced Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigerian President, especially with frantic and consistent support for the leadership of City Boy Movement under the watch of Hon. Francis Tosin Shoga. All hail this team of giant national soldiers for patriotically believing in the Renewed Hope agenda. 

My dear Seyi, I am most amazed to have met with you even though the time frame was summarized. I celebrate the spirit of humility and respect in you. A phenomenon in this age bracket and standard may see nothing special in being humble like a camel, but you're exceptional and it qualifies you to be a humble giant. Cheers, as I look forward to meeting you again and again.
