    Pray, Kwarans get over these assaults soon. The barrage of dingy revelations about the immediate past rulers of the state is unfortunate. From the haunting reports by the EFCC alleging Senator Bukola Saraki of diverting N12bn Kwara funds, to the wanton stealing of N2bn SME kitty, and the unbelievable coordinated looting of N4bn by our 16 LG Chairmen, it is evident that Kwara is unwell and she need prayers for a quick recovery. And I pity Kwarans a lot. Having to experience such rulership for 16-good-for- nothing years is an assault on their good--naturedness.



 To imagine what development these reportedly stolen N18bn funds (add together) could have affected in the state may sadden your patriotic hearts. But let me put it to you that there is no doubts of such funds developing the Education, Health and even improve Social amenities. It is just utterly disgusting that the monies are now in the bulging bellies of our deposed leaders. Good road network, affordable healthcare facilities, accesible water and other dividends of democracy have been ravenously eaten by them. Next time you need these things, remember their obtrusive stomaches!

 That the 16 Local Government Chairmen were taking 10% of the state allocation was the height of evil and injustice to the unsuspecting Kwara people. Especially at a time the state and the local government workers were facing hard times due to unpaid salaries. I remember writing about many of the victims' sad stories. Imagine those that became widowed, divorced or even bedridden out of lack and penury. Unknown to them that the Onorebus were dining and wining with money that could have offered them succour. I try so hard not to imagine pepper wickedly choking the gluttonous throats of the looters of our commonwealth.

Another damning revelations against Saraki might not surprise many people. I mean, how is it a news when the cat kills a rat? We know it is the usual. This is so with Senator Saraki--- whom I found so difficult not to confer the title of Commander-In-Chief of the Looting Forces-- sordid legacy. For his financial notoriety, Senator Saraki inadvertently made the people of Kwara state slaves and beggars. And the reportage of N12bn allegations is a commonplace for a man of his immoral standing. What Kwarans should only fear is waking someday to a news story that their fatherland was sold! Dr. AbdulFatah Ahmed was always ready to sign like a good boy.

The narrative the confession of these Honourables related to the N4bn loan -- added to the recent EFCC revelations about Saraki allegedly diverting N12bn of Kwara funds, the barefaced stealing of SME funds, and recent seizures of over 90 public properties shared among themselves -- only confirms the oft-stated position of the public that the defeated political dynasty was up to no good for Kwara and its people.

Thankfully, the war was won. Kwarans now have a breather of their rapacious legacy. What is left for justice is for EFCC to make them pay dearly for their wrongdoings. The fact that the people can dream of progress and development under a new dispensation led by Governor AbdulRazaq is vindicating and promising. I want to believe that the political annihilation of these people in the last elections was orchestrated by God for Kwara to rise. And so shall it be. May Kwara progress.
