KWARA: Abdulrahman Abdulrazzaq to present 2020 Budget Tomorrow

Kwara State Governor, Mallam  Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq is to present the year 2020 budget to the state House of Assembly tomorrow, Wednesday, December 18th 2019.

The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Yakubu Danladi Salihu announced this during Tuesday's plenary when he read the Governor's message in that regard.

In other development,  Hon Awolola Ayokunle Olumide ( Isin  Constituency) presented a petition from Kwara Must Change, urging the House to  investigate what it called endemic acts of corruption, mismanagement and outright fraud at Harmony Holdings Limited

 The Speaker directed the petition to the House Committee on Youth, Sports, Culture, Tourism and Information for further legislative action.


Also the Kwara State Compulsory, Free Universal Basic, Education (Amendment) Bill, 2019 passed through first and second readings at the  Tuesday plenary.

 The Bill seeks for a Law to Amend the Kwara State Compulsory, Free Universal Basic Education law, Cap. K12,to Replace The Permanent Secretary as The Administrative Head  Of The Board And Provide For The Appointment Of An Executive Secretary, Who Shall Be The Administrative Head And Accounting Officer, Sponsored by Hon Mohammed Baba Salihu (Okuta/Yashikira) and seconded by Hon.Ambali Olatunji Ibrahim (Owode/Onire), passed first and second readings at the floor of House.

 Rt Hon. Salihu referred the Bill to the House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development to call for a public hearing.

The Bill sponsored by Hon Mohammed Baba Salihu (Okuta/Yashikira) and seconded by Hon.Ambali Olatunji Ibrahim (Owode/Onire).

Abdullahi Danbaba Halidu(kaiama/kemanji/wagibe) Jimoh Ali Yusuf (Ilorin East), Awolola Olumide Ayokunle(Isin) and Adetiba Olarewaju Rapheal (Oke-Ero)
