Ramadan: Kwara Speaker urges Kwarans to pray for humanity, rededicate self to God

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi has called on Muslim faithful to seize the sacred month of Ramadan to pray for divine intervention against unprecedented challenges confronting humanity.

The legislator in a statement made available to press in Ilorin, the State capital by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff congratulates Muslim Ummah across the world for yet another privilege of witnessing the holy month of Ramadan and the opportunity to rededicate our commitment to serving God and seek divine blessings.

Danladi said "As we commence Ramadan fasting amidst one of the greatest pandemic in the history of mankind, let us seize the sacred moment to pray for humanity and seek divine intervention over our tribulations.

"Ramadan is a month when prayers are answered and sins forgiven, we must be Godly in our thoughts and actions, be our brother's keeper and ensure strict adherence to recommended measures aimed at flattening the curve of COVID-19 as part of our sacrifice for humanity in this holy month", Danladi added.

He prays Allah accept our worship in the holy month of Ramadan as act of Ibadah and reward us abundantly.
