The senator representing Kwara Central at the Red Chamber of the  National Assembly, Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe is enjoined the Muslim faithful to celebrate this year Eid-El-Adha festival with a calm disposition.

Oloriegbe made the call in his felicitation message to the people of his constituency noting that the world is yet battling with the wrecking effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and it thus becomes expedient to remain calm whilst praying for the divine intervention to regain all that has been lost to the pandemic.

The senator said: "I congratulate my fellow Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year, Eid. The present situation has warranted a low-key celebration with little or no glamour and funfair as it is used to be.
However, the setback shouldn't stop us from ensuring that we extend the hands of kindness to our kiths and kin as well as our neighbors. What the festival symbolizes even by its name is "celebration of gifts sharing".

"At the same time, I wish to charge you to use this auspicious occasion to pray for the nation as well as the leaders governing each helm of our affairs." The Senator added.

He also advised that the people should not forget to abide strictly by the regulations towards curtailment of the scourge.

"I want to remind us again that our sworn-enemy, COVID-19 is still much alive and we must not forget to observe safety measures to curtail its spread.

The senator concluded his message with greetings to the Emir of Ilorin, Emirate Traditional Council, and the religious leaders.

" I will like to use this medium to also extended greetings to our Royal Father, Mai Martaba Serikin Musulumi, His Royal Highness, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, The Emirate Councils, and the Religion Leaders. May we celebrate more years in bliss and prosperity." The message concluded.
