CAMP Opens 1st December, says CELF

Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA), recently announced that camping for the first batch of Fellows of the Countryside Emerging Leadership Fellowship (CELF) will commence between December 1st  and 14th, 2020. This was disclosed by the CELF Secretary, Saadudeen Abdulrasheed. 

In the announcement, it was established that the camp was earlier postponed due to the ongoing examination – National Examination Council (NECO).

Further, the objective of the initiative was made known to the public, stating that CELF is an equal opportunity leadership training platform for young secondary school leavers, especially those from the rural areas. Its aim is to groom informed youths who are non-urban settlers, to have sufficient exposure and training which would afford them the opportunity to contribute to the development of rural communities.

More, while on camp, Fellows will have the opportunity to hone their team building skills as they will be made to cooperate to deliver on assigned tasks. They will also receive mentoring from inspiring individuals; learn the rudiments of community development, social habits, among others. Other arrangements for the camping exercise including medicals, facilitators, and resource persons will be communicated in due course.

Haashim Inititative for Community Advancement (HICA) further extended her appreciation to the public by thanking donors and sponsors, both individual and corporate who have supported them to deliver on the vision of CELF. Also, they solicit for more support to enable them deliver the maiden edition of the Inspiring Human Development Project in accordance with best global standard.
