Promise Kept as Kwara Senator, Oloriegbe Equips Health Care Center

As part of Sen. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe's efforts to make quality healthcare accessible to the people of his constituency especially at the grassroots, Banni-Ogidi Primary Health Care Center yesterday took delivery of medical items donated by the lawmaker.

The items worth millions of Naira were donated by the Senator to improve the standard of health facilities available at the center so that it can serve the people to the optimum.

Oloriegbe who had earlier facilitated the renovation of the clinic to be undertaken  by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, conducted a visit to the Center few months back.

During the visit, he was sad to observe that the facility lacks basic and essential equipment to deliver primary health care services to the people. He there and then pledge to get necessary equipment for the Center.

During the  delivery and handover of the hospital items to the community and facility, the Daudu of Banni, Alh. Oba Suleiman who spoke on behalf of the residents of the community expressed that they have been yearning for such a gesture for almost two decades without it materializing until Oloriegbe came to the rescue. He however commended the lawmaker for restoring the fading glory of the clinic praying to God to continue to guide him in discharging his duties.

The officer in charge of the Center, Hajia Alabere Adama Toyin speaking in a similar vein expressed her happiness on the delivery of the items donated by Oloriegbe. She explained that the clinic is big enough and can serve the community and beyond, but is bereft of expected patronage due to a lack of basic equipment and staff. She said she is hopeful that, if they can have enough manpower to compliment the equipment they had received from Oloriegbe, the clinic will serve the residents more than before.

The Ogidi Ward APC Chairman,  Babatunde Olorunosebi noted that it is a thing of joy for the party members that the candidate they sold to the people is justifying the mandate given to him. He lauded the Senator's effort to bring succor to the grassroots while charging him to continue with his strides.

The items delivered to the Health Center include and are not limited to medical equipment, beds, mattresses, freezers, generators, motorcycles, fans, and furniture.
