Kwara Gov, Deputy, Speaker Danladi, others for Harmony Holdings 2021 Business Stakeholders Forum/Budget Retreat

• Industry captains, business moguls to feature as panelists

• COVID-19 protocols to be strictly adhered to

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is expected to grace the 2021 Stakeholders/Investors Forum and Budget Retreat of Harmony Holdings Limited, Kwara State wholly owned investment management company, according to a statement by the Corporate Affairs Unit.

The 3-day event will commence from Thursday, January 21 to Saturday, January 23 at Hall A, Kwara Hotel, Ilorin.

The statement explains that the Budget Retreat is an annual event that takes place in the organisation to usher in a new business year as it is the custom with every corporate organisation.

It added that the Business Stakeholders Forum on the other hand was conceived to expand the frontiers of state owned enterprises in Kwara State, as investors would be exposed to several opportunities to tap into those businesses and from the Kwara State Economy in general.

Governor AbdulRazaq will chair the Business Stakeholders Forum scheduled to hold for the first day, while Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Harmony Holdings Limited, Mallam Abdullahi Abdulmajeed will be the Host of the event.

In the lineup of dignitaries expected to attend the Investors Forum/Business Retreat are: Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi; Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu; Deputy Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Raphael Adetiba; Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs Modupe Oluwole Susan; Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Jibril; Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye; Executive Chairman, Kwara Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), Mrs Shade Omoniyi, selected Permanent Secretaries and other high ranking government functionaries.

The programme will also feature industry captains, business moguls, chief executive officers, bank managers, successful entrepreneurs, top players in the private sector among others who will share workable ideas, throw out meaningful contributions and make beneficial proposals towards the repositioning of Harmony Holdings and the stimulation of the private sector in the state.

The theme of the event is ‘Harmony Holdings, a New Beginning — Exploiting the Massive Untapped Economic Potentials of the Kwara State Economy’.

Director General, Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr Mudashiru Yusuf will make a presentation on ‘Repositioning Harmony Holdings to become a core stimulator of an increased IGR for the Kwara State Government’.

Meanwhile, the panel discussion session will feature a respected academic, Dr Ottan of Kwara State University, Malete; Chairman, Kam Holdings, Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf; Chairman, Tuyil Pharmaceutical Industries, Senior Apostle Oluwole Awotuyi among others.

Given the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic, the programme will adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines in order to curb the spread, just as admittance into the venue would be based on invitation.
