Kwara: Oloriegbe's Wife Donates Medical Items Worth Millions of Naira To Health Center

In her continuous efforts towards prevention of postnatal deaths amongst the newborn babies and to enhance safe delivery for the pregnant women in her husband's constituency, the wife of the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Hajia Maimunah Oloriegbe donate medical items worth millions of Naira to Alanamu Basic Health Centre.

Recall that the wife of the Senator through her NGO,  Matta Girls Foundation had earlier partnered with an organization, March Care Initiative to establish a New Born Corner at the clinic as part of the activities to mark the last edition of World Premature Day. The corner which is a special unit to take care of preterm babies was then equipped with some equipment and drugs by Hajia Oloriegbe. Similarly, she also donated and installed at the Unit, a solar-powered light to ensure a constant power supply to take care of the babies and the mothers.

Hajia Oloriegbe in her remarks at the event said, "I am making these donations not just as the wife of the Senator you elected but as a mother who felt concerned about the plight of any mother that lost a jewel (child) after nine months of pregnancy.  Also, I convincingly believe the prospective beneficiaries of these efforts we are putting in place here are my sisters in all ramifications. Besides, the joy of motherhood is having a living child and none of us knows what the child delivered safely from what we are setting up here would become tomorrow. It is therefore pertinent for us to give our best to others out of what Allah bestowed upon us."

The Matron of the clinic, Hajia Ayishat Apata in her reaction expressed gratitude to Hajia Oloriegbe on behalf of the management for her uncommon gestures to the clinic whilst assuring her that all the items donated would be judiciously and effectively use for the purpose meant for.
