Amid FHC judgment, Kwara APC Call For Ceasefire, Urges Aggrieved To Embrace Peace

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has called for ceasefire, calm and truce of all aggrieved parties, adding that  peaceful initiatives will soon pay off if the aggrieved group embraces peace and tow the path of honor.

This was contained in the statement issued by the party State Publicity Secretary, Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Tajudeen Aro Folaranmi after the judgment of the Federal High Court Abuja which dismissed the suit instituted by a group loyal to the suspended former Chairman, Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, for lack of diligent prosecution.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had on Tuesday March 30, 2021 dismissed due to lack of diligent prosecution a case  instituted by a group of the Kwara state APC loyal to Bolaribwa ,praying for an interlocutory injunction to restrain the party from beginning or continuing the Membership Registration, Revalidation and Update Exercise that started in February, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.

The Kwara APC has therefore urged the aggrieved to sheath their swords and close ranks to form a formidable party.

" Luckily we have a Governor in Kwara state who is willing to accommodate all interest groups in the collective pursuit of building a greater Kwara that we promised," the statement said.
