Owu Waterfalls: Kwara Senator, Ashiru Visit Owa Kajola Ongoing Site Project

The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Ashiru, visited Owa Kajola Community, the host town of Owu Waterfalls for an on-the-spot assessment of ongoing projects and for community interactions. 

In his address,  the Senator charged the host community to be warmth and accommodating to visitors, adding that, the host community should showcase the rich and fascinating culture embedded in the town which is predominantly human relations and hospitality. 

Speaking further, the Senator emphasized on the essence of creating cultural attractions for the  pleasure of the visitors, aside the aesthetic and captivating view of the Owu Waterfalls, the experience should linger on  the memory of the tourists. 






The lawmaker, also charged the host community to be more enterprising, now that the waterfalls have more visitors, the community should take the avenue to sell their farm produce and engage in more crafts and artistic design that will project the waterfalls and at the same time boost the economy of the town. 

The lawmaker described the upgrade and the development of the waterfall which is one of his constituency projects for 2020, as a catalyst to initiate massive transformation that has been promised by the State Government.

The Onire of Owa-Onire, HRH Oba Ramonu Ifabiyi III, commended and prayed for the Senator, he expressed his believe in KWARA APC government towards the transformation of the waterfalls, the monarch also assured the lawmaker of the community support for His Excellence, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the Governor and the leader of Kwara APC.

The community responding through Mallam Saka Ogunbiyi, appreciated the Senator for his  efforts towards making Kwara South a Tourist hub. He noted that, the work of Local Vigilantes have been activated to ensure the safety of visitors at the time of visit. Adding that, so far, no crime has been recorded in the enviros.
