AbdulRazaq Hosts Kwara Stakeholders To Ramadan 'Iftar'



The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq yesterday hosted Kwara Stakeholders to iftar (breaking of fast) at the State Banquet Hall, Ilorin. 

The event was a show of unity and religious harmony as both Muslims and Christians from across the State attended the iftar. 

The Herald reports that Governor AbdulRazaq had earlier joined the stakeholders in performing the ‘Magrib’ prayer before hosting them to a dinner. 

Stakeholders from the three senatorial districts at the iftar included the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi; the  Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi; the  Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Samari; Majority Leader in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon.  Olawoyin Magaji; the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Mamman Saba Jibril and Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Malaysia, Amb. Nurudeen Mohammed.




Also present at the programme were elders including Sen. Ahmed Mohanmed; Sen. Sulaiman Ajadi; Sen. SImeon Ajibola; Chief  James Ayeni; Alh. Kunle Sulyman; Chief Rex Olawoye; Alh. LAK Jimoh; Alh. Abubakar Ndakene; Alh. Shogo;  Alh. Mayaki and Alh. Baba Podo. 

Stakeholders in attendance also included Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin, Alh. Alhassan Bagudu, Dr. Mohammed Ghali, Prof. Shehu Adaramaja, Hon. Abdulmumini Katibi and Alh. Ganiyu Galadima. 

Government officials present include a Commissioner-designate, Architect Saifudeen, Special Advisers to the Governor, Alh. Alakawa, Alh. Bashir Adigun, Alh. Saadu Salahudeen, the two Special Assistants on Religion, (Islamic and Christian) and Chairman, State Environmental  Taskforce, Alh. Rasaq Jiddah. 




Speaking at the dinner Alh. Samari and Chief Ayeni both extolled the virtues of tolerance that Governor AbdulRazaq exhibits and commended his passion for infrastructural development.
