'Youth Fair': Kwara Gov Encourage Participants Not To Give Up, Reiterates Commitment To Better Business Climate In The State



The people-focused administration of AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq has yet again projected the entrepreneurial prowess and creative skills of her youth to the world.

In the just concluded three-day maiden youth fair organised in Ilorin by the Office of the SSA youth to the Governor, over 200 young business owners across the state underwent an intensive business development training while also exhibiting their wares, strengthening networks, making sales and interacting with potential investors.

The event attracted many creme de la creme from the business and politics world, with young business owners given free business registration forms from the corporate affairs commission.

Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, himself a renowned businessman, took the youngsters through some rudiments of entrepreneurship.

He encouraged participants not to give up and promised them an enabling environment to thrive in their spheres of influence.

Speaking earlier, Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi noted that the future belongs to the youth, urging them to be hard working and to remain committed to their dreams 




While giving her speech, the SSA Youth to Kwara State Governor, Kaosarah Adeyi, appreciated the people and Government of Kwara state for supporting the initiatives in the state. She said the fair will not only encourage the participants to do more but will also boost their economic profile and showcase their indigenous talents to the world.

The SSA Youth later conducted the Governor and his entourage round various stalls where he interacted with the vendors and purchased different items to encourage them. 

Ten business owners also participated in business pitch competition, with the first three of them winning cash prices of #150,000, #100, 000 and #50,000 respectively.

Participants were full of joy as they didn't only make sales but also networked with potential investors and customers from all walks of life.
