Neuropsychiatric Hospital: Budo-Egba Community Paid 'Thank You' Visit To Oloriegbe




A delegation of the Budo-Egba community, led by Mallam Ibrahim Hameed, yesterday, visited the Ilorin residence of the Senator representing Kwara Central, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, to register their heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation for the profound economic transformation that the facilitation of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital by the Senator will engender in their community.

The delegation had in their audience with the lawmaker, acquainted him with banes plaguing their community, which they said the non-existence of potable water source and electricity transformer have constituted untoward hardship to the residents of the community.

With happiness etched on their faces, they expressed delight over the choice of their community for the transformational project and appreciated the lawmaker for being responsive and committed to the cause of facilitating infrastructure that meets the pressing needs of rural areas.

According to the spokesperson of the delegation, Alh. Yinusa Oniboki, '"We are heartily grateful for the symbolic gesture the Senator has extended to our community which its significance has given us the compelling reason to always identify with him and whatever he associates with.

"Aside from the vital health care services the Hospital will provide to people, it will also provide economic stability and employment opportunities not only in our community but the state and the nation at large.

"We are equally grateful for the commitment he has made to cast aside our woes by acceding to our demand to provide electricity transformer to help us restore electric power supply and drill a motorized borehole to make clean, drinking water accessible in our community."

In his remarks, Senator Oloriegbe appreciated the delegation and reiterated his commitment to providing dividends of democracy to every part of his constituency while also urging them to extend their gratitude to the governor of the state, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRasaq and the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari who are very supportive and make significant inputs to see to the establishment of the Hospital as well as Emir of Ilorin, who also has been making considerable efforts to bring it to life.  

The meeting had in attendance, the representative of Alangua of Budo-egba,  Mallam Ibrahim Hameed, the representatives of Budo-egba Descendants Union, Alhaji Muftaudeen Kilanje, Mallam Hameed Arewa, the representative of diaspora, Mr AbdulRasaq Sa'ad and Former TIC Chairman of Asa Local Government, Alhaji Yunus Bello Oniboki.
