SWIT, CITN Executives Visit KW-IRS Ahead Of Investiture Ceremony

 

The incoming National Chairperson of the Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT) Dr. Biola Adimula in the company of the immediate past President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Dame Olajumoke Simplice, and her team on Friday 23rd July 2021 paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service ( KW-IRS) Shade Omoniyi to intimate her of the top gear preparation towards the investiture ceremony of the 4th National Chairperson of the body scheduled to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State on Saturday 24th July 2021.

As part of the schedule of the visitation, the visiting team was led to the Office of the Deputy Governor, Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi by the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi as the host of the forthcoming event.

Dame Olajumoke Simplice in her remarks at the Deputy Governor’s Office said the purpose of the visit was to inform the Executive Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdurasaq of the presence of CITN and SWIT Executives in the State and to also humbly invite him to the investiture ceremony of the new National Chairperson of SWIT, Dr. Abiola Adimula, who is an indigene of Kwara State.

 

She thanked the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for the numerous and continuous support he has given to the CITN and SWIT in the state over the years. 

She also lauded the Governor’s decisions for entrusting revenue administration of the State into the hands of a woman in the person of Shade Omoniyi who has reciprocated the gesture by elevating revenue generation of the state into a worthy position within a short period.

In her address, the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi expressed appreciation to the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi for the warm reception and expression of readiness to always assist the parent body of SWIT at all times. 

She expressed joy over the victory of Dr. Abiola Adimula, a woman of virtue, as the new National President of the SWIT, a feat she described as unique and double blessings for Kwara state in general.  

Omoniyi pledges continuous support for both CITN and SWIT at all levels of interaction in the country and prayed for a successful investiture ceremony and term of office for the new National Chairperson. 

The Deputy Governor, Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi, welcomed the visiting team of both bodies to the State, he congratulated the incoming National Chairperson, Dr. Abiola Adimula for emerging victorious in the SWIT election. 

He said the state is proud of her emergence as the new National Chairperson of the Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT) as an indigene of the State and will always be ready to ensure she succeed in the office. He wished her a peaceful and successful investiture ceremony and tenure in office.

Dr. Adimula in her vote of thanks, appreciated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for his support for women in government and continuous assistance his administration has provided for CITN and SWIT in Kwara State.
