Group Officially Unveils Career Talk, Quiz Debates In Offa Schools For Secondary Students




The Offa Students Union National Body has officially begun its scheduled career talk, quiz, and debate competition for all indigenous Offa Senior Secondary School students.

Recall that we earlier published the union body's press release which noted that it has everything on the ground to organize Quiz Debates, and Career Talks, among others for no fewer than 7 Senior Secondary schools in the Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Kick-starting the event on Monday, 4th of April 2022 at the Offa Grammar School Auditorium, the National President, Comrade Ibrahim S Ibrahim assured all participants of free and fair exercise while giving his opening remarks, stating that the committee of the event headed by the National Secretary, Chairperson and Co-Chairman, Ibrahim Sherifat Adeshewa, Looqman Fareedah Ayomikun, and Sheu Abdulmumin Opeyemi, will do nothing sort of justice during all the exercises.


The Co-chairman Shehu Abdulmumin Opeyemi on his part reiterated that they needed to come up with lofty ideas in other to improve the body's involvement in society and to provide adequate knowledge and ideas that will have a positive impact on the younger ones. And that is why the program is targeting all Senior Secondary School Students' in Offa at large.

He restated that the events have been categorized in 3 places

1. Spelling Bee.
2. Quiz and Debates. 
3. Career Talk.

The Monday event was on Career Talk, facilitated by the Team Lead of 9japarrot, Mr. Saeed Tijjani. 




The facilitator spoke on "Career Talk On Information and Communication Technology For Secondary School Students". It was a productive session as all the students were seen happily interacting and picking interests in the speaker's discussion.

The Union National President, Comrade Ibrahim S. Ibrahim on behalf of other executives appreciates the facilitator, noting that he has done what the younger generation will forever remember and be indebted to.

Among the schools that made it to the noble event are;

Omolabake College,
Adeola College,
Ansarudeen College,
Nawarudeen Grammar School,
St Marks Secondary School,
Mustapha Standard School,
Offa Grammar School,
Moremi High School,
Offa Community Secondary School,
NOWA secondary school, and Offa Baptist Secondary School.

Each school has no fewer than 4 students as representatives, alongside their Teachers (Coordinator).

The program is billed to run for a week with Debates coming after the Career Talk Day. Then Spelling Bee, Quiz, others to follow.
