NOWA, OGS, Adeola College Emerged Winners Of Offa Students Union Schools Debate, Quiz & Spelling Bee Competition




Participants from NOWA Secondary School, Offa Grammar School, and Adeola College have taken the major Lead in the recently concluded Career Talk, Quiz, Debate, and Spelling Bee competition organized by the apex union body and the National Headquarter for all Offa Students across the globe under the aegis of Offa Students Union.


The event which started on Monday 4th of April was a 4 days program that ended colorfully on Friday 8th of April at Offa Grammar School Auditorium, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Under the category of the Spelling Bee competition, Gbolaga Favour & Mohammed King Aaliyah (NOWA Secondary School, Offa) emerged as the Winner while Adebiyi Faridat & Oni Samuel (Adeola College, Offa) emerged as the 1st Runner Up. Tochi Miracle & Olaoluwa Precious (Mustapha Standard College, Offa) emerged as the 2nd Runner Up.








Yussuf AbdulRasaq A. & Ibrahim O. Habeeb (Offa Grammar School, Offa) Won the Quiz category, while Adebiyi Faridat & Oni Samuel (Adeola College, Offa) emerged as the 1st Runner Up. Abdulazeez Farouq & Olanite Hikmat (Mustapha Standard College, Offa) emerged as 2nd Runners Up```

Under the Debates category, Adebiyi Faridat & Oni Samuel (Adeola College, Offa) emerged Winner, Gbolaga Favour & Mohammed King Aaliyah (NOWA Secondary School, Offa) emerged the 1st Runner Up and Yusuf Fatimoh & Suleiman Fatimoh (Offa Community Secondary School, Offa) emerged the 2nd Runner Up.

Appreciating the Organizers, the Teachers lauded the team for the unique opportunity given to their students.










In his closing remarks, Sen. Yusuf Abdulaziz Babatunde (Immediate Senate President of the Legislative Arm) appreciates all dignitaries and individuals present, while commending the Management of Offa Grammar School for giving out the Hall without collecting a dime from the organizers.
















In his goodwill message, the 50th National President, Comrade Ibrahim Sheikh Ibrahim a 400L Civil Engineering Student of FUTMinna commended all the participants. He said there is no Looser Nor Winner. Stating that for them to represent their school shows that they are winners and the opportunity will prepare them ahead of the future.

Good day ladies and gentlemen, a panel of judges, our teachers, and my fellow students. I am Ibrahim Sheikh Ibrahim, a 400L Civil Engineering Student of FUTMinna, the 50th president of Offa Students' Union National Headquarters.


It is a great pleasure to have you all here today. You're welcome to the 2022 Grand Finale of Career Talk, Inter-Senior Secondary School Spelling Bee, Quiz & Debates. Your presence here makes this program a success as we’ve dreamt it to be. It is pertinent to reiterate that our noble town is one of the leading towns when it comes to education.


We have excelled in various spheres of life academically and we possess quite a several professors to evidence that. In the words of Leonardo da Vinci, “Learning never exhausts the mind.” As such, to Foster the academic excellence of our students in various schools across the town, the Offa Students' Union National body deems it fit to organize this Career Talk, Spelling Bee, Quiz & Debates competition. 


As we’ve all known, this program has started the last 4days and today is the Grand Finale of the program. Several schools have been knocked out and the remaining ones will strive to triumph in the event today. My words to all the students that represented their schools are that there is no loser or winner. For you to represent your school shows that you are a winner and you’re getting set for the best that is yet to come.


It is with great humility I say a big thank you to the Academic Committee & Panelists for their unrelentless effort in making sure that this event holds. I so much appreciate the executive & legislative arms for their undiluted support.

Special thanks to Mr. Suraj Oyewale, Engr. Yusuf Kamorudeen Oke(OSU National President 2008), Engr. (Mrs) Morado Bammeke Mujidat(Director of Students Affairs, Lens Polytechnic, Offa, Vice President 1 OSU National Headquarters 2001 & Treasurer Offa Engineers), Mr. Tijani Saheed Olayinka. Without you, all this will not be possible and these students here will not be able to show us what they have in them. I believe we have impacted and inspired the lives of these students through this event. Once again, I thank everyone for making it here. 

We promise that this program will be a thrilling and eventful one. Thank you.
