Commendations As AmofinAkogun Is Zoned Out Of House Of Assembly Race

In a press release by the Amofin Titilope Akogun Campaign Organization, on 18th May, 2021, the Campaign Organization declared it had run a good race.

Find excerpts below:

"The campaign activities of Amofin Titilope Akogun has been brought to a painful halt as selected stakeholders and elders of the party rose from a meeting with the Senatorial Chairman; Mr Olayemi Olabanji, and resolved that the Kwara State House of Assembly sit for Irepodun Local Government should be zoned to the Irewolede axis of the Local Government.

Irepodun Local Government has two axis, comprising of Aran axis(with 6 wards) and Irewolede axis( with 5 wards).

The 2 previous House of Assembly members have emerged from the Irewolede axis, which Aran Axis is also ordinarily expected to have their turn of representing the Local Government.

We toured the Local Government wards, preaching our gospel of setting performance standards for political office holders, instead of believing in vague promises to eventually keep lamenting, when the vague promises remain unfulfilled.

Our heads are high we have run a good race.

The message is clear to the elders, youth and women members of the party we have come with laudable ideas to transform the Local Government.

However, it is obvious the Race is not for the swift, nor the battle for the Strong, but of Him that showeth mercy.

The elders in their wisdom had made a decision and as party members, we will abide with their decision despite our Reservations.

With God, and our consistency, Our time would come.

We wish the party and the eventual candidates the very best in the upcoming elections as we are set to give our best to support the eventual candidates of the party at all levels.

We cannot appreciate enough Amofin's ward elders, ward executives, especially his Ward Chairman, Mr Sunday Abegunde, our Ward Coordinators, the BTA Ambassadors, the 11 pillars, The Campaign Directorate and the teaming youth, elders in the party who firmly believed and fought for our emergence, all the women stakeholders,  all party executives that stood by us, all the Youth and groups that stood by us and believed in our capacity to bring new ideas on board, Mr Josiah, Mr Michael and most especially our BTA Campaign Team. May God reward you all. Our family is a Movement, and it shall remain as such.

As we bow out, we want to leave you all with a reminder, that, "Our best is yet to come"! and ìyanu a pada selè!

We will remain diligent, respectful, obedient and loyal to the ideals of the party. Only God gives, at His own appointed time.

This is our second attempt at representing our Local Government unsuccessfully and we accept our fate.

We will never be ungrateful for the Grace to have come this far.

Amofin Akogun Campaign Organization
Irepodun Local Government,
Kwara State."
