2023: Nigeria's Youngest Assembly Candidate, Rukayat Shittu Completes Training On Running Successful Campaign

Rukayat Shittu, the youngest candidate vying for an Assembly seat in Kwara State to represent the good people of Owode Onire Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections under the All Progressive Congress (APC) party has completed the leadership training for female candidates in Nigeria for the ahead of the general election.

The youngest candidate joined other female candidates across political parties in the country at the training which was held at Dover Hotel, Lagos on Monday, and asserted that the seminar is an eye opener for every participant.

Understanding democracy, the rule of law, voter registration and voter education, the electoral legal framework for elections in Nigeria, communication strategy, power mapping, and campaign budget amongst others were discussed at the training. 

Speaking to journalists at the training ground in Lagos, Rukayat commended the organizers of the training, while she urged Nigerians to emulate creating space for youths, men, and women in society.  

The program was organized by the Women in Politics Forum in partnership with USAID, UKAID being supported by National Democratic Institute.
