According to Aruwan, the freed hostages are Sahura Hamisu, Ramlatu Umar, Saudatu Ibrahim, Maryam Shittu, Fatima Shuaibu, and Khadijah Mohammed along with her baby.

The commissioner said the raid was carried out early Tuesday morning, adding that the troops promised that such operations would continue to rid the state of terrorists.
