Ajuloopin: The Quest For Service Delivery and The Wàtímàgbó Slogan

By Jamiu Olamilekan Balogun

Have you ever paused for a moment to ponder on why a leader is either good or bad? Personality! The nitty gritty of a ready to serve leader.

The personality of a man must be something worth the while before such an individual can make a good leader, if or when he becomes one. The unusual privileges and one-in-town facilities we currently enjoy in our part of Kwara today were not products of mistakes, rather from a conscious efforts of a ready-to- serve leader who himself is as humble as a servant.

Have you seen a selfless, attentive and proactive leader? If there has been a very vibrant an visionary man who is tirelessly and assiduous carrying out his official assignments, that must be our very own Hon. Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin in whom we repose our confidence!

The Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Ekiti/ Irepodun/ Isin/ Oke-Ero  Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Hon. AbdulRaheem Tunji Olawuyi (Ajuloopin), is today worth more than being celebrated within his Constituency, but also throughout Kwara State at large.

Why? Ajuloopin as fondly call is an unassuming leader who never sees himself above any common man. He is an integral part of the current administration who is always with the masses of his constituency. As a good leader who is worthy of emulation, Ajuloopin is always accessible and available beyond the good people he is representing. May I at this juncture doff my hat for the lawmaker for his diligence and humility in service delivery.

For the record, Hon. Ajuloopin has been able to touch the lives of the ordinary people in his constituency as well as different sectors of the Constituency with projects that have bearing on their lives. In fact, I cannot in all honesty exhaust the description of his inestimable achievements thus far. However, it is imperative to mention some of the projects he started and completed within the space of a year.

Let's take a journey into the Health Sector. Ajuloopin has done a great deal in the area of Free Eye Treatment by a team of medical doctors as eye glasses were freely given to about 2000 beneficiaries. In his efforts to make his constituency COVID- 19 free, Rep Ajuloopin deployed his team to the four local governments in the constituency to provide safety measures via community health sensitization, distribution of alcohol hand based sanitiser, face masks among others. donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Kwara State  COVID-19 Technical Committee, which was received by the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi. The distribution of palliatives to Constituents to cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 was a huge step.

The issue bothering on Education also received and receiving great attention as. Ajuloopin has so far constructed some block of classrooms in all the four Local Government that make up his constituency (Note: kindly mention the communities that benefited her) . Also, hundreds of UME candidates and undergraduates across Nigerian Universities were generously taken care of as JAMB forms were distribute to candidates while scholarships and financial aids were given to students.

Hon. Ajuloopin is investing in the youths of his constituency through his various intervention programmes; one of which is the Ajuloopin Digital Empowerment Programme (ADEP) which has hundreds of Youths as beneficiaries

On infrastructure, completion of Erinmope/ Ekan Meje road wouldn't have been possible without Ajuloopin's relentless efforts. Construction of Agan Oru Road, OmuAran, Provision of motorized boreholes in communities across the four Local Government Area in his Constituency. His quest for service delivery  also made the installation of solar-power street lights across his Constituency a reality

On Agriculture, apart from facilitating the  Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) loans for farmers and business-minded individuals, our hardworking leader also enhanced the registration of farmers' association with the Corporate Affairs Commission. Our super Rep Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin has also constructed food processing houses in all the four Local Government Area in his constituency. Distribution of seedlings and farm tools to our farmer in other to boost their farming activities.

How can we describe his people oriented Mega Empowerment Programme which happened few months ago, where hundred of his constituents benefited hugely, the beneficiaries cut across every informal sector (i.e Artisans, Traders, Transporters). The Mega Empowerment was just one of many empowerment programmes that have been carried out by Rep. Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin.

Words will indeed fail me to describe his relentless efforts in triggering a rapid development in our Constituency?  Many other projects were also started and completed, while some are still ongoing.

The song in our Federal Constituency now is WATIMAGBO (You must have been hearing) it's Continuity Agenda in our Federal Constituency (Ekiti Isin Irepodun Oke-Ero). It's Ajuloopin Again (Ajuloopin L'en'kan sí).
