JUST IN: Police Arrest Two Kidnappers, Rescue Abducted Victims In Shao, Kwara

The Police  have arrested two suspected kidnappers in a forest around Shao, Moro Local government area and rescued two victims abducted yesterday unhurt during the operations.

This was contained in a statement this morning signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Ajayi Okasanmi.

It would be recalled 9japarrot Media reported that the kidnappers reportedly stormed the house of Hon. Lawal Ayansola Saliu and  kidnapped his wife and a child.

The police spokesman said two of the kidnappers were arrested with gunshot injuries in the bush and were taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Ilorin where they were confirmed dead.

Okasanmi explained that their corpses were deposited in the hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the rescued victims Afusat and Taofeek Lawal have reunited with their families after being certified medically stable.

He, however, said, efforts are still being intensified to get other fleeing members of the gang arrested
