Over 100 Pregnant Women Benefitted As Oloriegbe's Wife Launches, Equips Newborn Corner At Ogidi Banni PHC

No fewer than one hundred pregnant women selected across the 12 electoral wards in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday benefited from the free delivery pregnancy kits and essential commodities during the inauguration of a 'Newborn Corner' at Ogidi Banni Primary Health Care Centre, facilitated by the founder of Matta Girls Foundation, Hajia Memunat Oloriegbe, through the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria 2022 Capital Projects in Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The project, the third in the series, had been previously launched at Alanamu Basic Health Centre and Okelele Health Centre and is aimed at assisting pregnant women in having access to quality and affordable health care services to reduce child and maternal death which normally occur during delivery and or earlier months of childbirth.

The facilitator of the Project, Hajia Memunat Oloriegbe who is the wife of the incumbent Senator representing Kwara Central, stressed that the 'newborn baby corner' at Ogidi Banni Primary Health Care Centre will enhance the effective delivery of new babies and provide qualitative Health care Service delivery in the community.

Hajia Oloriegbe who appreciated her husband and the senator representing Kwara Central, Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe for helping her to successfully facilitate the project, urged all beneficiaries to use the kits accordingly to achieve the purpose for which it was facilitated whilst enjoining them prioritizes clinic consultation for the safe delivery of their pregnancy.

The New baby Born Corner' was fully equipped with medical items of various kinds which includes; a radiant warmer, suction machines, oxygen, cylinder baby cot, weighing scale and e, and thermometer amongst others.
