PHOTOS: Oke-Ode Declares 100% Support For Hakeem Lawal's Governorship Bid, SDP

The people of Oke-Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have assured the Kwara State Gubernatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal of their 100 percent support and loyalty ahead of the 2023 general.

The people of Oke-Ode declares unwavering support during the commissioning of the SDP party's secretariat in the town while the party also received hundreds of decampees from APC and PDP among other parties.

The SDP gubernatorial candidate, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal took to his official page to announce this development.

The statement as seen by 9japarrot media reads;

Earlier today, I was represented by the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Reverend Joshua Olakunle Olayinka, party chieftain, Dr. Bolaji Afolabi, and one of my aides, Issa Mutolib Ayobami, at the commissioning of the party’s secretariat in Okeode ward 1.

They were joined by other candidates of the party, including Professor Wale Sulaiman, Prince Saheed Popoola, and the two candidates of the party in Ifelodun local government, Hon. Otunba Oladele Olatayo and Hon. KSI Olomoh, the event also witnessed the presence of Barrister Abdulrazaq Alabi, the Kwara South SDP Senatorial Chairman.

The team’s first point of call was the court of the Olomooba, who is the acting head of the Oke-Ode traditional council, since the demise of our father, Oba Abdulkadir Adelodun 11 (Deceased Elesa of Oke-Ode land).

The Olori (head) Olomooba, Alh. Abdulkareem Owolabi who directed the Asipa of Oke-Ode town to speak on behalf of the court prayed for Allah's rahma on the soul of the late Admiral Lawal, stressing that Oke-Ode is highly indebted to him, as the town is one of the greatest benefactors of my late Dad, Admiral Mohammed Lawal.

Thus, he while promising the resolve of Oke-Ode to vote en mass for the Social Democratic Party, also prayed for the success of my governorship ambition.

In his words: “Lawal is our benefactor and one must repay one's benefactor….. We must pay back the father's good deeds to his son.

“When Lawal was Governor, he never lied to us, he did everything he said he wanted to do for us, and we must not see his son and say we haven't seen an important personality.

“Your coming is very good and God will make him emerge victorious as the Governor, all other positions like the Senator and House of Reps will also emerge victorious…..”

The team thereafter proceeded to receive hundreds of decampees from the APC and PDP, who reiterated that they joined the party because of the intimidating credentials of our party’s candidates.

The party’s secretariat was commissioned with fun and fanfare, amidst prayers from Muslim and Christian clerics.
