Unknown gun men have reportedly kidnapped the wife and daughter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, candidate for Malete/ Ipaye/Oloru constituency in the 2023 election Hon. Lawal Ayansola Saliu popularly known as LAS.
According to multiple sources, eyewitness narrated that the sad incident occured in the early hours of Monday 13th September 2023 at the candidate's residence at Oke Ayewu/Shao Express way in Moro LGA of the state.
9japarrot Media also learned that the unknown gunmen targeted Hon LAS, however with the intervention of a military officer who is a neighbour he escaped with wounds, the millitary was reported injured.
This marks the second time in two months an abduction incident would be recorded in the area.
On July 5th, 2022, unknown gunmen struck at a quarry site in the Shao area of Moro Local Government of Kwara State, killing one mobile police officer and abducting a Chinese citizen.
The police is yet to release a statement on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
