FEATURED: My First Impression Of Saliu Mustapha

I’ve never been star struck or in awe of any person in my life but on Wednesday 19th October 2022, that changed! What happened? I met the Turaki of Ilorin, Malam Saliu Mustapha!

Never have I seen someone so deliberate and so selfless and so loving of humanity like him. Never have I met someone so knowledgeable about business and so insightful as him.

So we were launching the Entrepreneurs Network, which is a group of over 1000 Entrepreneurs supporting each others’ businesses, and he got wind of it and promised to come, not only did he come but he also matched my donation of N5 million thereby enabling us to give 10 people instead of 5, one million Naira each to support their businesses.

But beyond the donation and the presentation, it’s his charisma, carriage, down to earthness, in depth knowledge and eagerness to impact lives that got me.

At a private session the following day at his residence, all the lucky ten whose business were grant-aided had their moments with him. Everyone went home filled and motivated. In fact, right there and then, beneficiaries were being networked by the Turaki to international opportunities, particularly on a documentary project foreign friends of the Turaki are packaging for the iconic Ilorin Dubar.

In summary, Nigeria needs a lot more men like Saliu Mustapha if that were possible. He has my eternal admiration and respect.
