Hon Stephen Ariyo Odeyemi Bags Chieftaincy Title In Ekiti Community



The 2023 African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Ekiti LG Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly on Saturday was conferred with the chieftaincy title of AKEWEJE OF ISOLO OPIN in Isolo-Opin, an ancient town in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State 

Asolo of Isolo-Opin Land, Oba Raphael Sunday Are (JP) Ilufemiloye 1 while performing the formal coronation of Hon. Stephen Ariyo Odeyemi as AKEWEJE OF ISOLO OPIN described the young politician and philanthropist as an agile, youthful personality who is always keen to see to the development of Ekiti land.

He said Hon Stephen Ariyo is an outstanding personality among his peers and a good ambassador of Ekiti Land.







Hon Stephen Ariyo also received royal blessings from the monarch and other royal fathers present in the colorful occasion all hailed him as great grassroots who are always connected to the people and has touched a lot of lives through his philanthropic foundation over the years.

Hon Stephen Ariyo Odeyemi, in his remarks, thanked the monarch for counting him worthy of the honor and promises to keep doing all possible best to the development of Ekiti Land and helping people at the downtrodden.






Hon Stephen Ariyo while making his remarks also thanked the community for living in peace and harmony while appreciating well-wishers, and teeming supporters who graced the occasion.

He also donated a sum of N250,000 as a token contribution to the building of the Ultra Modern Town Hall Event Centre. 

The twin event- Maiden Isolo-Opin Day Celebration & Launching of 100 million Naira Development fund towards the Building of Ultra Modern Town Hall/Event Centre for the Community featuring conferment of Honorary Chieftaincy Titles Post Humus & Merit Awards held at LGEA Primary School Field in Isolo-Opin.


Brief Profile of HON. STEPHEN ARIYO ODEYEMI

He hails from Ora Ayegbaju, Obbo lle in Ekiti Local Government of Kwara State.

He is a successful Businessman, philanthropist, humanitarian, and Community development Advocate.

As a successful businessman, He is the Managing Director of Shekinah Ultimate World Travels Lined with branches and headquarters in Abuja, Nia's Capital. He is the Chairman/ Group CEO of Sros Property development company, Starod Innon Hub Company. and Starod Agro services respectively.

He is the Founder of Ariyo Odeyemi Comm Development Foundation( ARICEF) whose aim is t provide succor to the downtrodden in society, thus, promoting and enhancing community growth. He is passionate about the growth and well-being of others especially the youth and the aged.

He holds a Masters of Science (MSc) in Forest Biometrics and Remote sensing from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

He is happily married and blessed with children.

BRlEF HISTORY OF ISOLO-OPIN KINGDOM 

The town known as Isola-Opin is one of the twelve sons of Modewa Adetuia who migrated from lie-lie and settled in Own now known as Owaatun-Opln. This Madeira Adetuia is the Babo Opin while the twelve sons are the founder of Opin Meiila as MW order of seniority Owatun Opin.

ISOLO-OPIN settled in her old site as a result of the war in about 69MB and shared boundaries with the following towns {i) Owaatun-Opin (ii) Epe-Opin (iii) Eton (iv) Obbo-lle lvl Elia (vi) Eda in EKitl State. 

The people of lsoio-Opin lived together peacefully and harmoniously ever since. 

However, the topography of this site was very rocky and rugged and will not allow for the desired expansion and development for instance (it The larger proportion of the area was occupied by rocks and laterite while the “Me available land was subjected to flooding and erosion. This area was badly affected by erosion to the extent that the skeletons of the bodies buried for a long time were being exposed.
