The residents of Araromi community in Amoyo, Ifelodun local government have declared their unalloyed support for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate, Waziri Yakubu Gobir in Kwara 2023 Governorship election.
The community disclosed this during the visit of the G-Force Forum led by Hon. Azeez Ayodele to the community to canvass for votes for Waziri Gobir and all the YPP candidates ahead of the general elections.
According to the community spokesperson, Mr Isiaka Usman while addressing G-Force members stated that their support for Waziri Gobir is burnout of his philanthropic programs through his foundation (Gobir Organisation Foundation) which has helped the less privileged in the society.
"Many politicians have visited us in the past with all sorts of lies and after they get to office, they forget us and all the promises they made to us. That was our reason for saying this time around we aren't going to give our support to just any body or political party but to a credible candidate that we believe shares our pains and knows where the shoes pinches us."
"After a thorough consultation we discovered that Gobir is the only candidate we can align with, because of his unflinching support for the masses over the years and we believe that supporting that kind of a man will bring prosperity to us and to our community. We are ready to work for the victory of Mallam Yakubu Gobir and we are going to vote massively for him and all the YPP candidates during the election". He said.
In hid responding, G-Force Coordinator, Hon. Azeez Ayodele appreciated the community for endorsing Waziri Yakubu Gobir, adding that Waziri the YPP Governorship Candidate would not disappoint them when he gets to office in May 29, 2023.
"Our principal is a man of his words and I can assure you that he won't be as ungrateful as the other politicians that have visited this community. Alhaji Yakubu Gobir has gotten the Need assessment reports on what communities in kwara needs and what should be done to better the life of Kwarans, so immediately he gets to the office the work begins." He explained
He however urged the community to extend their support to other YPP candidates from House of Assembly to National Assembly.
