Habiba Hakeem-Lawal Thanks Kwarans For Supporting SDP Candidates

The wife of the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kwara state, has felicitated with Kwarans on the occasion of the 2023 new year, just as she marks her birth anniversary.

Hajia Habiba Hakeem-Lawal in her message to Kwarans urged them to be united in their resolve to ensure paradigm shift and vote for leaders with good intent, just as she thanked Kwarans for supporting her spouse’s candidature.

According to her: “Kwarans are known far and wide to be harmonious people, this should translate into the unity of purpose required to bring about a generational shift needed to better their lots.

“Every generation has its own albatross, ours is systemic corruption and bad leadership. Luckily for us, this year presents us with an opportunity to right the wrongs and bring in people with the love of the people into elected offices.

“Today, as I receive birthday wishes from all and sundry, it is my sincere desire to impact more on womenfolks and humanity as a whole, to try as much as possible to let women see less impossibilities and impediments to fulfilling their dreams.

“I also seize this moment to appreciate all well meaning Kwarans for the sincere support of my husband, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, and other candidates of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state.

She assured that their support will be paid with equitable distribution of the dividends of good governance, irrespective of creed, ethnic divide, or political affiliation.

“I felicitate with Kwarans on today’s auspicious new year celebration. It is my prayers that the new year presents greater opportunities with far-reaching accomplishments. Happy new year Kwarans!”, the statement concluded.
