Kwara 2023: Araromi Community Endorses Gobir For Governor

The Araromi community in the Asa local government area of Kwara State on Friday endorsed the candidacy of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Governorship Candidate, Waziri Yakubu Gobir for the March 11 election. 

Gobir, who observed his Jummat Prayer at the community, was received by an enthusiastic crowd chanting Sai Gobir!

During the visit, the YPP Governorship Candidate paid homage to the Mogaji Araromi, Alhaji Muhammad Soliu Ajala to seek blessing ahead of the election.

Mogaji Araromi said: " We are told not to participate in politics as Chiefs but mine will be different because of Gobir's giant strides in contributions to society, he is part of this community. We are beneficiaries of his consistent support and I believe if he achieves his heart's desires he will do better.

"Gobir is endowed with good character and he is the kind of personality we need to man the affairs of our dear state compared to those that have been governing us. We need a better, compassionate, trustworthy, and kindhearted person like you to rule our state.

The Chairman of the Araromi community, Mallam Azeez Shuaib, stated that the community has always given block votes to the ruling party in the state but has suffered neglect in return.

He expressed confidence in Gobir's ability to deliver, saying 'we have no regrets because he has been supportive to the community through his NGO (Gobir Foundation Organization) support schemes.'

Gobir appreciated the community for the rosy welcome he and his entourage received. He further assured the community of good governance if elected in the forthcoming election as Governor.
