Kwara South 2023: No Hausa or Fulani Group Defected To PDP -Miyetti Allah



The leadership of Hausa and Fulani community in Kwara South Senatorial District of the state have denied rumour that some of their members have defected to the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the region.

Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammed, who spoke on behalf of the group, who is the head of Miyetti Allah in Kwara South disclosed this on Sunday in Ajase-Ipo, when the House of Representatives member, representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency, Rep Tunji Olawuyi, met with them.

Alhaji Muhammed who told the Federal Lawmaker to deliver the group's message to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has had more impact on them than any other party before now.

The leader of the Miyetti Allah in Kwara South said the news of a defection to the PDP is an imagination of those peddling the rumour and declared that no truth in the story at all. 

Muhammed assured the Federal Lawmaker the support of the group starting from Feb. 25 spread to the governorship election on March 11.

He commended the administration of Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, adding that the Governor is friendly and accommodating.

The leader of the Miyetti Allah in Kwara South said no administration in Kwara has had meaningful impact on them like that of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Responding, Rep Tunji Olawuyi, thanked members of the group, for their support to Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration and his office. 

The chairman House Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, who described the Governor as a man of the masses, said he must be returned to continue his goods works in the state. 

The Federal Lawmaker commended and thanked them for ensuring peaceful coexistence among members of their host community and asked them to continue to be peaceful. 

He assured them of more dividends of democracy, adding that Gov. AbdulRazaq is seriously interested in their welfare just like any other person in the state.
