PDP, LP Plan To Compromise Presidential Election Results – APC Chieftain

By Nurat Uthman

The  Coordinator, Contact and Mobilisation Committee, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Committee, in Ekiti State, Bamidele Faparusi, has said that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) were pained by the outcome of the presidential election because of their failed attempt to compromise the poll.

Bamidele in a statement on Friday in Ado-Ekiti, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful conduct of the poll, noting that the February 25 election was one of the most credible and freest elections in the country.

The former House of Representatives member described the PDP and the LP as bad losers, adding that their attempts to discredit the poll to the international communities would be resisted.

He said, ” I want to commend INEC for the successful Presidential and National Assembly elections. We are all unaware of various moves by both PDP and the Labour Party to compromise the election results through cloned INEC servers.

“International communities and civil society organizations should not be deceived and misled by fake reports discrediting the outcome of one of the freest and fairest elections this country has ever conducted in recent times.

” If you look at the pattern of the results, you will realize that the outcome of that presidential election is the true reflection of the will of Nigerians. The people of Nigeria have spoken very loudly that their choice is Bola Tinubu.

“This is politics and not a wish game, therefore PDP and LP should not think they can force their wish on the country. If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.”

Faparusi urged the LP and PDP to consolidate on the electoral success recorded at the poll to build a more formidable opposition needed to ensure good governance by the APC “rather than chasing shadow and displaying vain desperation. “

He pointed out that” in most polling units in Ekiti State, LP does not have a polling agent let alone mobilizers, the votes recorded by LP are from the student environs of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, and that is understandable.

“So,  I was surprised when LP and PDP challenged the outcome of our election in Ekiti. If we should have the election again 100 times, the outcome will only get worst for them.”

He urged the president-elect ” not to relent in his effort to extend hands of fellowship to other candidates that contested the election with him to foster national unity and reconciliations of Nigerians.”
