Chief Timipre Silva (APC) Declared Winner of Bayelsa Primary Election

Former Minister of State Petroleum Reaources Chief Timipre Sylva has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primary for Bayelsa State.  the one time Bayelsa State Governor garnered a whopping 52, 061 to clinch the APC governorship ticket.

Chief David Pereworimini Lyon got 1,584 votes while Joshua Makava got a total vote of 2,078.

Ogomade Isikima Johnson got 584, Festus Daumiebi Sunday 557 votes while Prof Ongoebi Etebu Maureen got 1,277 of the votes cast.

The Bayelsa gubernatorial election is billed for November 11, 2023.

Before the commencement of the exercise, chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, Maj. Gen. A. T. Jibrin, told the delegates that the party adopted option A4 for the direct primary, which held in all the 105 wards in the state.
