Book Presentation: Daughter Of a Thousand Fathers Unveiling To Hold Today, Friday



The book, Daughter of a Thousand Fathers, co-authored by Yusuf Taibat Temitope and Issa Mutolib Ayobami is set to be unveiled at a Book Presentation function today Friday, 30th of June, 2023.

The book which is aimed at advocating for the education and protection of the rights of the girl-child; creating communal consciousness about gender-based violence, and escalating cases of sexual abuse to the relevant authorities will be reviewed by Dr. Usman Dipo Akanbi of the University of Ilorin, a former Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Ilorin chapter.

The manuscript was
edited by Dr. Emmanuel Oladesu (Deputy Editor; The Nation Newspaper), Dr. Ladipo Akanbi (Former Chairman; Association of Nigerian Authors - Kwara Chapter), and Mr Yusuf Yunusa O. (Director-Principal; Education District 6, Oshodi.

The event which will hold at the Banquet Hall of Fresh Hotels, along ShopRite, Fate road, GRA Ilorin, will be chaired by the Turaki of Ilorin, Mallam Saliu Mustapha and HE Toyin Ojora Saraki, former Kwara First Lady and Inaugural Global Health Ambassador of The WHO Foundation.

The First Lady of Kwara state, HE Amb. Dr. Mrs. Folake Abdulrazaq and Dr. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa will appear as Special Guest of Honors, while the Chairman of Awliya Foundation, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, is the Chief Host.

The book will be presented to the members of the public by the Executive Director of Federal Mortgage Bank, Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha, the Chairman Gobir Foundation, Waziri Yakubu Gobir; Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Saliu Danladi; House of Representatives member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Hon. Mukhtar Shagaya, and the Kwara North 2023 SDP Senatorial candidate and business mugul, Alhaji Abdulkadir Attahiru Adamu Manko.

People from all walks of life, including literary enthusiasts, supporters of the literary community, girl-child advocates, human rights activists, amongst others will be present to grace the event.
