Kwara Gov Inaugurates New Onijagbo, Calls for Unity and Progress

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Tuesday inaugurated the new Onijagbo of Ijagbo land, Oba Sharafadeen Adeniyi Buhari Babalola I, tasking him to continue the legacy of uniting and rallying his people for development, peace and unity.

The Governor also prayed to God to repose the soul of the late Onijagbo Oba Salawudeen Olagunju Adeyeye Fagbemi Obembe II.

In his speech, Governor AbdulRazaq congratulated the new Onijagbo and the people of Ijagbo for the seamless transition. He wished the monarch a successful reign, blessed with prosperity and progress.

The Governor also called on the people of Ijagbo to support the new Onijagbo and work with him for the progress of the community. He said that the government would continue to work with traditional rulers and other stakeholders to ensure that every community in the state thrives and enjoys the benefits of good governance.

The new Onijagbo, in his acceptance speech, appreciated the Governor for his respect for traditional institutions. He also pledged to work with the government and the people of Ijagbo to achieve sustainable peace and greater development.
