Kwara Gov Mourns Victims Of Boat Mishap In Patigi

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed sadness over the boat accident that claimed the lives of dozens of people in Patigi Local Government Area of the state.

The boat, which was carrying over 300 passengers, capsized on Monday night while travelling from Egboti in Niger State to Kpada in Patigi.

The governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, said he was deeply saddened by the news of the accident, which he described as a "devastating tragedy".

He commiserated with the families of the victims and prayed for the repose of their souls.

The governor also called on the relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the accident and take steps to prevent future occurrences.
