UNILORIN Awards First Senior Advocate Of Nigeria, Adetunji Oyedipo As Outstanding Jurist Of The Year

Yesterday, Wednesday 19th July 2023 the Law Student Society Of University of Ilorin Awarded Adetunji Oyeyipo SAN who is from the great Ese Town, situated in Kwara state.

 He graduated from the University of Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1982 with combined Honours in English and Philosophy and subsequently obtained his LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Ibadan Nigeria in 1986. He attended the Nigerian Law School From 1986-1987 and was called to the Bar in 1987. He was admitted into the Inner Bar in 2004 when he was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is apparently the first senior Advocate his community would produce. He has been in active private practice since 1987 to date with the Firm and is the Head of the Lagos Office and Managing Partner of the Firm. Member, Commonwealth Lawyers Association; Member, Section on Legal Practice, Nigeria Bar Association. He holds a Certificate in Corporate Governance and Board Leadership, Lagos Business School.

He has served in various capacities including as a member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (2000-2002); Secretary Nigerian Bar Association Kaduna 1993-1994.

Assessor of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers Disciplinary Tribunal since 1999 to 2016; a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved Capital Market Consultant who has attended several SEC approved courses, Seminars, and Workshops.
