Kwara Senator, Oloriegbe Visits Proposed NHIS New Zonal/State Office

The Chairman Senate Committee on Health, Dr.  Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe at the early hour of today paid a visit to the temporary Zonal/State Office of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) located along Fate/Basin Road, Ilorin.

The Senator who held a closed-door meeting with the management of the agency led by its Zonal Coordinator, Laja Abere-Oran explained that the existing structures would be demolished and new ones would be constructed with the state-of-the-art facilities. 

The lawmaker who facilitated the office construction through the year 2020 budget expressed further that the project would provide an economic boom for the people of the State when started whilst providing employment opportunities for the youths after its completion aside the cardinal responsibilities of the agency to the people of Nigeria as a whole.

Recall that Sen. Oloriegbe also sponsored the National Health Insurance Commission bill which has been passed by the Nigerian National Assembly and awaiting the president's assent to become law.
