UPDATED: Kwara Gov Appoints Muhammad Kawu As Emir Of Lafiagi





The Executive Governor of kwara State,Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in exercising the powers conferred on him by the Chiefs (Appointment and Deposition Law) has approved the appointment of Alhaji Kawu Muhammed Kudu as new Emir of Lafiagi.

In a Press Statement issued by the Press Secretary of the Ministry, Oba Azeez on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government,Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, at the Presentation of Letter of Appointment to the Monarch in his Office, Wednesday, 28th July,2021, The Honorable Commissioner,Arc. Aliyu Muhammad Saifuddeen, on behalf of His Excellency,The Executive Governor of Kwara State,Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq congratulated the New Monarch on the well deserved appointment.

Governor AbdulRazaq reminded the Monarch that the Presentation of Letter of Appointment has uniquely positioned him to build bridge of harmony, understanding, tolerance and peaceful co-existence among His People.

He prayed that His reign will usher in peace, progress and development in His domain in particular and the State at large.

In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed Monarch thanked Almighty Allah (swt) for making the day's occasion a reality and assured that he would be fair and carry everybody along in the discharge of his responsibilities.

He thanked the Executive Governor for his neutrality at ensuring that the choice of the People from the Community prevails in the choice of their Royal Father.

The Monarch assured the State Government that he would encourage the peaceful coexistence which the Community had been known for and as well participate in the laudable Policies and Programmes in ensuring good welfare of his people and the State at large.

The brief event was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Babatunde Alabere,Directors from the Ministry and other distinguished well wishers.
