Physically Challenged Man Bags Gobir Foundation Hero Of The Month Award In Kwara

Gobir Organization Foundation on Wednesday, 13th of October visited Bode Saadu in Moro Local Government of Kwara State to conferred on Mr Solihu Toyin Abdulrahman, the Foundation's Hero of the Month award. 

The Hero of the month award is a monthly program designed by the Gobir Organization Foundation to uplift and encourage physically challenged people that are doing extraordinary in all walks of life. 

Solihu Toyin, a married man with kids, who resides in Sabo Area of Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State specializes in shoemaking.

Mr Solihu while receiving the award expressed happiness and gratitude to Gobir Organization Foundation for finding him worthy of the cash award. 

He, therefore, charged physically challenged people like him not to lose hope and always believe in themselves.

Speaking with newsmen, Chairman Shoemaker Association of Nigeria, Moro Local Govt Chapter, Mr Lukman Adam, described the awardee as an intellectual and hardworking individual, stating that despite his challenges he never gave up.

In her remarks, Gobir Foundation Head of Media and Publicity, Khadijah Eyitanwa Lawal reiterated the Foundation's commitment to Human Capital Development. She described this program as a corporate social responsibility policy aimed specifically to uplift the underprivileged members of society, adding that the Gobir Organization Foundation will continue to do more.
