Oloriegbe Fulfills Promise As CELF Beneficiaries Confirm Second Tranche Of Scholarships



The senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has fulfilled his promise by releasing the second tranche of his scholarships awarded to three fellows of Countryside Emerging Leadership Fellowship (CELF)

Senator Oloriegbe, who gave the scholarships to three outstanding CELF (1.0) 2020 edition fellows from his senatorial district, described the gesture as a way of encouraging young people from the rural communities to be studious and focused on their academic pursuits. 

While confirming the receipt of the payment, the Chief Volunteer of the CELF, Mallam Lawal Olohungbebe, whom on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the senator, charged the beneficiaries to make good use of the money by graduating with good grades in their courses of study. 

Olohungbebe further charged them to be good ambassadors of their communities, adding that, they should justify the confidence reposed in them by the senator and the organisers of CELF. 

While confirming the payment, one of the beneficiaries from Ilorin West Local Government Area who is an undergraduate of Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Abdulwahab Abdulwasiu expressed gratitude to the senator for the scholarship and promised that the fund would be utilised judiciously. 

“I want to express my gratitude to our amiable senator Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe for his support towards my ambition in pursuing my degree, street would have been my part but for the grace of Allah, the exceptional effort and impact made by the Countryside Emerging Leaders Fellowship (CELF) organisers and your financial support over my life lifted me above, I'm very happy today for where I found myself”, he said.

Another beneficiary, Odetundun Christianah from Asa Local Government Area who had just completed her National Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, appreciated Senator Oloriegbe for the positive impact he had made in her life. 

In her words: “Through CELF which facilitated the scholarship from Senator Oloriegbe, I had the chance to study the course of my choice. I am indeed very happy to be among the most outstanding fellow from Kwara Central for it has helped me to further my education  despite the fact that I am from a rural community.”

It would be recalled that Senator Oloriegbe had earlier assured CELF team that the scholarships awarded to the fellows from his district would be promptly disbursed in tranches at the beginning of every academic session.
