Ignore Defection Rumour, We're Poised For Landslide Victory- Olododo

The Ganiyu Saka Cook-Olododo Campaign Organization (GSCCO) has described as self-deceiving drama, the claim by an opposition party’s House of Representatives candidate for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency that some members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), dumped the party.

A statement by the spokesperson of Olododo’s campaign council, Ibrahim Sheriff said “We have come across some contents on social media, purporting members of our party, SDP defected to an opposition party and particularly, claims that one Bello Fuhad – Media aide to our candidate, who is also the incumbent House of Representatives Member for the constituency dumped the party.

“We wish to state emphatically that no member of SDP in Ilorin East and South local governments defected from the party, neither is anyone by the name Bello Fuhad known to be an aide to Hon. (Dr) Abdulganiyu Saka Cook-Olododo.

“The self deception by the opposition’s candidate is a calculated attempt to fake his popularity and reignite dwindling self-confidence as a result of Olododo’s overwhelming performance which has earned him intimidating support base among Ilorin East/South electorates.

“It has now become evident that such falsehood is characteristic of the opponent in question, as the same candidate’s claim of endorsement by YPP recently, was later refuted by the party.

“While we advise our opponents, rather than faking non-existing popularity, to avail our people their public service track records and blueprints to better the lots of our people. We wish to state that the reassuring acceptance from the people of Ilorin East/South is convincing that Olododo remains a candidate to beat in the February 25th elections”, he added.
